Day #319 – Marshmallow Learning

Do you have marshmallows and toothpicks? Then you are all ready for this activity. There are a variety of things you can build and learn with these two items.

Younger kids can work on letters.

They enjoyed working on adding (above is 3+4=7), but they REALLY enjoyed working on subtracting as they ate the marshmallows away.

Older kids can work on multiplication concepts (4×4=16 is pictured above).

Kids can make shapes – flat or 3D. They can also see what else they construct.

I’m pretty sure Corban thought the whole point of the activity was to eat marshmallows.
