· I’ve never done this because my children have never struggled having a babysitter. They always look forward to it. However, I read it in a book once and thought it was a good idea for kids that have anxiety when you need to get away for a much needed break. It is a box of fun activities to look forward to for when sitters come over. It might include modeling clay, a special treat, a game, watercolor paints, a book, a simple pre-boxed craft or bubbles. It will give the sitter direction and also give your child something to look forward to while you are away. It will also encourage your babysitter to have more interaction with your child. I had a babysitter when I was little who would bring her own box of surprises. Those are the good ones you really want to look out for.
