The kids are handling life in new levels this week. Is it because they’re sick or are we just entering a whole new stage that needs to be addressed? Well, it needs to be addressed no matter what the roots. When something happens to the girls, they freak out. The automatic response is a scream or tears. We’re really needing to snap down on this. However, they sometimes have a genuine reason to be upset. One of the other kids has caused the anxiety they are experiencing. Often times you’ll hear me saying, “Abby, it is not OK to take from your sister. Kenzie, you need to handle your response to Abby. You need to respond without crying or yelling.” They are both wrong, and they both receive a consequence. The automatic screaming response has been driving me crazy, and Corban is picking up on this behavior. Needs to stop. Let me know if you have any big secret technique to help with that response.
