I believe that parenting is one of the most rewarding yet challenging roles we have. Through all of it, we have been given the largest responsibility of raising the next generation. I want to equip you to make the most of this amazing position and to do this job well.
About Me
Wife of the perfect partner for me. Mother of Three. Lover of fun, creativity, cooking, adventure, puzzles, games, family but most importantly Jesus. I run the blog Meaningful Mama. The heart of my blog is the character development series for teaching kids. The icing on the top consists of parenting tips, crafts, recipes, cakes and more. I have a degree in education, but I love being home with my kids…most of the time. There are times I wonder if I’d want a job out of the house because this job is really hard, but I really don’t have a desire to be back in the work force.
Part of why I started this blog is because I have found parenting more challenging than I ever imagined. I have some great examples in my life, and I still have felt lost. I wonder, if I have these amazing resources in my life, what do people do that don’t have help and advice a phone call away? I wanted to become a source to help those seeking to be better in their parenting. This blog is me living out a bunch of “I should” moments that I was letting pass me by. I needed motivation to be present, and I wanted to inspire others along the ways as I learned tools for play, discipline, positive reinforcement, learning and all of the other things involved in being a mom.
My Family
My husband: A man of many talents. He is the first man I loved, yet I didn’t find him until my late 20’s. This blog wouldn’t be possible without him – both his support and his mad computer skills. He loves the Lord. He loves me. He loves our kids. What more can a woman hope for in life? He is smart, handy, talented, fun, a hard worker yet lives a life of balance. I am blessed to call him my husband and best friend.
Abigai (left): She is my oldest at 10 years. Often, I feel like I am raising myself, which can be interesting, fun and challenging all at the same time. She is full of life and experiences emotions to their fullest. She is a strong girl with a strong sense of justice. She likes to be a leader and seems to have a variety of interests – potentially being on stage and art will dominate. She is very smart and understands things quickly. Her excitement for trying new things is obvious to all.
Kenzie (middle): She is my second girl and is 8 years old. Kenzie is sweet, fun and enjoys life. She is assertive and strong. She has a quirky little sense of humor, and finds joy in dance and song. She looks up to her sister but will stand her own when she doesn’t want to follow, which I think is healthy. Kenzie loves to be helpful and loves little kids. Her caring nature is seen by all.
Corban: My little boy is 100% boy and is 6 years old. He is quite chatty and an optimist. He constantly has a smile on his face, even when he’s getting in trouble. He is sweet and adores his sisters. He has me laughing and smiling often, and has been an easy kid to raise and be around. His caring nature has been noticed by teachers and friends.

Credit Where Credit is Due
I have little ones. I cannot claim expert status. Mothering has been the most humbling experience for me. I thought, “I have been a teacher, camp counselor, youth group leader, babysitter, private tutor…I got this.” Ha! Constantly questioning myself and feeling baffled is apparently part of the mother description. Luckily, I am surrounded by people who I would consider experts. I have mentors. I give credits to my parents and my husband’s parents for being amazing role models.
