I call my oldest “the cruise director.” She is often directing ideas around here. I think she’ll be a leader, and I hope I’m training that in her well so that use really learns to do it right. Because this year in our life has been filled with a lot of “activities,” she is starting to come up with her own ideas. I love it. She has been walking into a room and quoting me by saying, “I have an activity planned for us.” I have a couple boxes of Dollar Store craft stuff upstairs. She came down today with an activity planned. The above is the result. I want to encourage you to encourage your kids in their own ventures. This might be letting them lead you in a craft project. It was great watching her encouraging Kenzie this morning and lovingly leading her in this activity. It might be a sports game they want to play, a recipe they want to try or a story to make up. Embrace it, even if you end up in a mess of glitter like we did today.
That is a cute project. Doilies are so much fun. Please link this post (and any other arts, crafts and play posts–no limit) to Artsy Play Wednesday on Capri + 3. I hope to see you there. The linky is now open.

I really appreciate it! I do have to say that I have not been able to find the time to do these rewards. I’d love for you to be able to pass it along to someone else. I thank you so much for the compliment though!
