Do you have The Mom Village? No, I’m not talking about the people surrounding you that are there for you when time gets tough, when life is fabulous and when you just need help. I’m talking about the book. However, the book is all about the people surrounding you that help you when time gets tough, when life is fabulous and when you just need help. “The Mom Village” is a book that is meant to inspire, but will also bring funding and hope to a ministry called Agape in Action. You may have anticipated its arrival when you read this. You also may have seen or been a part of our last book, “The Mom Quilt,” which help raise funds to buy a water well in Kenya for the ministry Mercy House.
Agape in Action goes to 20+ locations around Quiche, Guatemala each month to do a medical clinic with people in different rural villages. The doctors care for an average of 50 people per day. Read and hear more about it here. 100% of the proceeds from this book, “The Mom Village,” will go to help reach the needs of the medical clinics being established in Quiche.
I feel privileged to be a part of promoting this, but I also want to give a shout out to Paula or Beauty Through Imperfection for her tireless work on the project.
The Mom Village
We all need a village. I have felt very blessed with the people surrounding me. In fact, I’m not sure what I would do without them. Life can be beautiful and wonderful. It can also be sticky and challenging. Life can be just plain hard at times. Without people to share these joys and burdens with, life can feel anemic.
Today we get to announce the celebration of The Mom Village. The Mom Village is a compilation of stories written by moms. Women share their stories of how the “village” in their lives have made an impact on their journey. These stories are each unique, and yet they are woven with a common theme – relationship and hope.
The eBook is available now for only $9.99, and you can be assured that all of that money will go toward medical funding in Guatemala. Click here to buy your copy today. This would be a great Christmas present to pass out as a thank you to your own village this season.
The cost per clinic ends up being around $351 – or, $7,371 a month. Our first goal is to fund 10 clinics by the new year. But we can continue building on that to fun an entire location or more!
As books are sold I will update this image to reflect the sales and how much as been raised to date.
When you click “buy” you’ll see that the book is available for 9.99, if you’d like to donate more towards the Mom Village project, you can adjust the cart however you’d like, and the full amount will go to Guatemala.
Thank you so much for your contribution to this project! Working together, we can make a difference!
