Do you want your story published? I have an AMAZING opportunity for you. This is a chance to get your writing into a book while also helping to raise money for a wonderful cause.
If you aren’t familiar with the last book we compiled and published, I encourage you to check out the project here or here. You can buy our book, The Mom Quilt, on Amazon (affiliate link). This was an beautiful compilation of mom stories, woven together to bring laughter, joy and tears. This book project was a part of raising the $40,000 needed to build a well for the Mercy House in Kenya, Africa.
Want your Story to be Published?
With the same heart, we are looking for writers to contribute to a new book called, “The Mom Village.” I am compiling this book with Paula and Becky.
“The Mom Village” will be supporting Agape in Action. The focus is on reaching the needs of the medical clinics being established in Quiche, Guatemala. Agape in Action goes to 20+ locations around Quiche each month to do a medical clinic with people in different rural villages. Just check out the work being done here:

The cost per clinic ends up being around $351 – or, $7,371 a month. I would love for us to fund the equivalent of one location for the whole year ($4,212), but I think if we really work hard we could fund many, many more!
Doesn’t this sound like something you can get behind? This is where you can help.
We want to hear about your MOM VILLAGE for our upcoming book. Each chapter of this book will be written by different women who have had their own “village” come alongside them as they do this amazing job called parenting.
Motherhood brings opportunities for a village to show up. Perhaps it was through challenging life circumstances where your village made themselves known. Maybe the daily ins and outs of parenting have been made easier as you have had friends or family come alongside you on the journey of motherhood. Each woman has a story, and we want to hear yours. We want these stories to reflect your life and show that even in the darkest of circumstances there are rays of hope found in people who care.
You do not have to be a blogger to participate. Last year we had many people contribute who would not regularly refer to themselves as “writers,” and it ended up being a beautiful thing!
If you’d like to keep up with details, you can join our Facebook group. You can find our more details about how to contribute to “The Mom Village, including the submission process, here. Stories need to be submitted by October 20th, so get your computer out and start typing.
We are SUPER EXCITED to make a difference in the lives of our fellow man by putting together this book. We will keep you up to date on details as it comes together. It will be a encouraging gift idea for the ones you love…perhaps the people who have been your village.
