I know it may seem like I have a recipe for parenting. I don’t. I have different tools and techniques I’m trying and have gathered over time. However, there is no guaranteed recipe. Follow step 1, 2 and 3 and each of your children will… It’s just not possible. First of all, your children are individuals. How one responds to a certain strategy, idea or technique may not be how the next child responds. They’re all different, and you’ll need to try and figure out what works for your children as individuals. That said, there are a few components that have been proven to yield a greater impact. Again, these components will be implemented in different ways to impact your children in the best ways. However, the components remain the same. These are a handful of ingredients I find important in parenting: faith, modeling, consistency, careful discipline, purpose, teachability, praise, provision, involvement and most importantly love. I hope my tools and tips have provided some strategies for you. I hope you see them as ideas rather than some sort of formula that will work for every child. I am giving things to you that have worked for me and that I have seen work for others. Just keep your child’s individual personalities and needs unique to your situation in mind as you are raising these gifts.
