Ingredients

  • 6 Slices of Bread - I use Texas toast or some other soft and thick bread about 3/4"-1".
  • 1/2 cup eggnog
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp butter

Instructions

  • Add the eggnog, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla to a shallow pan.
  • Whisk ingredients together until fully incorporated.
  • Lay bread in the mixture, first on one side and then on another. How long you allow to remain depends on the texture you like for your French toast. Longer soaking means a more soft, custardy result. Shorter will keep more of the texture of the bread.
  • Preheat pan and then allow butter to melt on medium heat on a nonstick skillet.
  • Toast to desired doneness, about 3-4 minutes per side.
