The kids then get to twirl the color into the shaving cream. You don’t want to over-5wirl because you want the marbled look in the cream.
The next step is to lay your paper on top of the shaving cream. Make sure it is touching the heart everywhere and then peel it off. Don’t worry, you’re not done yet. Right now it just looks like a blob of colorful shaving cream on the heart. The magic happens next.
You will use your flat edge to scrape off the excess shaving cream. I used a pan scraper I had. I discarded the shaving cream back onto the same plate and re-used it. It had a slight tint to it, but that worked out just fine. We just added more drops and started swirling away again. Look at the beautiful marbling that has happened under that layer of cream. So cool. The kids loved the reveal.
