How do I get a table cloth playhouse??

The pattern is out of print. I am working on getting together a pattern to be purchased through Meaningful Mama. I am also working on a way to be able to get these custom made for your children. Details to come. If you are looking for something immediate, Amazon (affiliate partner) does sell these Pacific Play Tents Cottage House Tent and a card table version – Table Fables Fabric Play House (Pink Play House) – This might be exactly what you are looking for.
Does this all seem too involved?
Here’s a picture of just the house:
Another Fort Option
My kids love forts. Any place that can become their own little space is a win. We recently were able to get the kids their own teepee, and I will tell you why I love it.
Teepee Joy has both pre-designed and custom made options. Their fabrics are not only sturdy but have a chic designs that come with patterns or solids in a variety of colors to match any decor. There are cute details, like tie door flaps, windows and roll down or tie up window shades. A padded mat adds comfort to the ground, and you can choose from a variety of pillow options. The quality of these teepees is top notch, and they are easy to put together. My kids can easily move the teepee to different areas of the house or outside for more play. These are handmade in the USA.
My kids are going bonkers for theirs. It’s not only a cozy place to rest or read books, but it provides opportunities for hours of creative, imaginative play.
I love parties! And this one looks sooo fun! Well done on turning a rotten banana into a great day in! found you via a linky, am trying to join your site, but my computer keeps kicking me out of it. would love you to visit my site too if you get time! http://partycraftsecrets.blogspot.com/
Technically that’s a ripe banana. Not rotten. It’s the best time to eat them because it’s packed with more nutrition than a ‘perfect’ yellow banana and it’s sweeter! Just stick in the freezer when they get to this point if you don’t plan on using it right away 🙂
You are absolutely right. Thanks so much for the freezer tip. I stick them in the freezer for smoothies, but it is great to do for banana bread to until I have another one that is perfectly RIPE. 🙂 Thanks!
Oh this is SOOO great! This is so something I’m going to have to try with my kiddos. I’m visiting you from Skip to My Lou. I’d love to invite you to link up with us for Fun Stuff Fridays. http://www.toysinthedryer.com/2012/01/fun-stuff-fridays-7.html
My husband and I are starting over with three young ones… the ideas I’ve found are really going to make this time raising kids even more fun!
TFS
I LOVE that table cloth playhouse!!!! I want one for my little ones!!! 😀
Wow whoever made that is very talented! They should market them and sell them! I know I would buy one! So much better than half the toys and playhouses for sell.
I love this too, and would also buy if she marketed them…
I know. I think it would be great if she marketed them. She really has no interest. I think someone should do it though. Maybe you?
HI JODI; I WAS LOOKING AT THIS WONDERFUL IDEA. I WENT ON McCALL’S SITE TO SEE ABOUT THE PATTERN #M6369 … IT IS OUT OF PRINT, THEY EVEN HAD ONE FOR THE BOYS!! A CASTLE. I E-MAILED THEM TO SEE IF THEY COULD BRING IT BACK, (JUST TODAY, SAT. 10/4/14) AND I HOPE TO GET AN ANSWER SOON. IT WOULD BE A GREAT GIFT PROJECT IF THEY WOULD.
Let me know what you hear from them. It would be great information for my readers because there has been so much interest. Thanks for looking into this.
Agreed! I would love one of these. If you find a source let us know. Luckily, I have a very handy mother who could probably whip one up without a pattern :).
It sounds like some people have found etsy options and ebay patterns. Check back in the comments for the sources. Here’s one: https://www.etsy.com/listing/58190024/play-house-tablecloth
Please let me know what you come up with…would love to make one for the grand kids.
McCalls just contacted me, and I added a link to their pattern. I hope that’s helpful – http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/m6369-products-14424.php?page_id=505
I love this idea Jodi. I was looking at the playhouse and was wondering how to make my own. then the idea hit me: what if I took a fitted bottom sheet that doesn’t have a flat and stitched other funner sheets to it? that way it could be personal and always fit the corners of the table. Opening doesn’t have to be zipper it could be hook n loop or pretty rubberbands and fancy buttons. what do you think?
I think it sounds like a fabulous idea. As long as the sheet is big enough to go over the table to the floor, I say go for it. It would be a lot less expensive to make (grab sheets from a second hand store), and it’s a super creative solution.
but they do sell them as an out of print pattern for $18.95….. you can order the pattern
I just tried to add it to the shopping cart. Once I go to check out it doesn’t work. It’s what McCalls sent me as a link. I’m bummed it is out of print. Here’s a link to some similar ones on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/search?q=table%20fort%20pattern. It’s not quite the same, but I hope it works. Do you think it would be hard to create a pattern?
I used the link that Jodi posted but it will not let me put the pattern in my cart because its out of print. What was the info that was received from McCalls? Would love to be able to purchase this pattern!
It is the link McCalls just sent me. It so weird that they’d send me a link to something that was out of print. I’m so sorry to send you on a wild goose chase. I looked on easy and founds some patterns: https://www.etsy.com/search?q=table%20fort%20pattern. It’s not quite the same, but I hope it works. Do you think it would be hard to create a pattern?
If you hear back on the patterns … please let me know ! It is adorable and looks fairly easy to make up. Thanks in advance. Sharon
I’m working on it. I’ll definitely get back to you!
let me know if it ever gets in print, a gal wants one for her day care
Man – I have been trying to figure out how to get a pattern for people with no luck. I will keep you in the loop if I figure it out.
Okay, so I get it that Grandma does not want to mass produce the tent… she would rather spend her free time with the kiddos….. but maybe Grandma could be talked into just selling the pattern and instructions for a dinning room table size tent, instead of the card table size patterns that are floating around……. I would certainly buy the pattern from her …
I want to hire someone that knows how to create a pattern and sell it. She actuality used the card table pattern from McCalls and then adapted it to the size of our table. I know nothing about patterns. Would that be hard to do?
Love the tablecloth playhouse. I WANT ONE!
I agree with Charlotte, these should be marketed. I would buy one for my grandchildren
I second that! I would absolutely buy one! So adorable & so clever!!
Grandma needs to go into business and then head for the Shark Tank ~ this is awesome!
Totally agree, Grandma could make a killing. Please have her include round and oval sizes, too!
McCall’s pattern M6369, in case anyone want the pattern. I stumbled across a picture from your blog via Pinterest and I thought, “Hey! That looks strangely familiar! I’m in the process of making that RIGHT NOW for my daughter for Christmas!” I really like the extended version to fit the dining room table ~ just wish ours wasn’t an oval pedestal table!
Just ordered it from Amazon! Thanks for posting!
Just ordered from Amazon. Thanks for your post.
I 3rd the motion to ask grandma to go into business. I would buy one in a heartbeat!
Me too! Send me Grandma’s info and I’ll commission her to make two. (One for my girls and one for my nieces.) Pretty please?!?
Yes please! Come on Grandma let’s make these… you can have extra spending money for the holidays.. and I’ll have some happy happy kiddos!

My kids would LOOOOOVE that tablecloth playhouse!!! I wish I could make one myself but I have no IDEA what I’m doing in the sewing department!! I wish I could buy one too!!!
I love everyone’s comments, and I’ve passed it on to Grandma. She isn’t gonna bite on making a business, but as Ken’s Happy Wife pointed out, the pattern is McCall’s pattern M6369. Thanks for the interest.
Thanks for posting the pattern. Need to make one for my granddaughter
This might be for Christmas next year!
