Today we did a very simple game to practice a gentle touch. The concept was to push, with one finger, an object across the room without it falling over. If it fell over, they’d need to stop and set it up again. I timed them to see who was the fastest. We started this activity with a stuffed animal, but it was super floppy and fell over too easily. We ended up racing with them trying to push my boots across the kitchen. The goal was to be fast and yet gentle at the same time.
Gentleness
“But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” – 1 Peter 3:15
