Wisdom
“For the Lord gives wisdom, and from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding.” – Proverbs 2:6
Definition: 1) The quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise 2) Making practical applications of truth in daily decisions 3) (my own definition for my kids) Making good, smart choices
Reason Chosen: Wisdom isn’t quite a word I think of when I consider children. I think of older people with a lot of experience. It doesn’t mean that it is not a trait that can be developed in your children. It will come more with experience and time. I believe it can be developed quicker by giving them the tools to think through situations that arise and making them more aware of how to make wise choices. Just like all the traits we are working on, this one can be taught directly. With youth comes childish irresponsibility. I’ve definitely seen that in my kids lately. I keep trying to tell them to stop and think about things so they can make smart choices. It’s time for some direct instruction.
Word Ring At the beginning of each week, the craft will be exactly the same because we will simply be adding a new word to our already established word ring.
