I am excited for the giveaway I get to bring to you today. There is a newer company on the market called Colourful Letters. The owner and creator of this company reached out to me with a desire for me to get her product in my hands. Here is an excerpt from her original email: “I live in Vilnius, capital city of Lithuania – a small and friendly country by the Baltic Sea in north Europe. Together with my husband I created and started running Colourful letters locally in 2011. It is an interactive wooden letter-studio where one can choose size, font, colours, patterns and we make these personalized letters in our workshop. At the beginning we made everything by ourselves – my husband operated the cutting machine and I mastered silk-screening technique from the scratch to decorate the letters 🙂 (Neither of us had anything to do with wood or paint before that!). We are still very small but so eager to spread our letters into the world.” She wanted to give me letters as a gift because she is a fan of my site. I asked her if she’d be interested in doing a giveaway, and she eagerly jumped at the opportunity and offered up THREE 75 EUR GIFT CERTIFICATES FOR COLOURFUL LETTERS WITH FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. This is a $130 value (gift certificate and shipping) being given to 3 different winners. So exciting. I love her story and am all about spreading the word about people pursuing their dreams by creating awesome products with clever, unique ideas
I decided to pair up with some other fabulous bloggers to bring you this giveaway. Each of these bloggers was also given a set of letters or numbers and has been able to experience the Colourful Letter product for themselves. I hope you take the opportunity to enter the giveaway by following Kristi from I Should be Mopping the Floor, Mackenzie from Cheerios and Lattes, Trish from Mom on Time Out and Julie from Redhead Can Decorate.
The Colourful Letters owner was right in knowing that I could do nothing but promote her products once I had them in my hand. These are unlike any letters I’ve seen. First of all, they are completely customizable. You can play around with creating your own designs on their sight by changing font, size, and color. There is also the options to get ones that hang or ones that stand on their own. I chose ones that stand on their own. They use birch plywood to make their letters. This material is very close to natural wood (it is wood in layers, not dust board like mdf) – and feels warm and natural in Your hands. It’s beautiful.
The picture above shows why I wanted new letters for my kids. The ones I had were pathetic. Kenzie’s letters were from her baby nursery and don’t match the decor in her shared big girl room. They are suppose to be hung and have been sitting pathetically on this shelf for three years now. Abby’s orange letters are less impressive than Kenzie’s. I had purchased plain white letters and had to do coat after coat of orange craft paint, and they still didn’t cover well. These also have been precariously propped on their shelves.
I am thrilled to have replaced their old, lame letters from the high quality Colourful Letters version. How much better does that look? I chose the red and white polka dots, but I played around with ideas and patterns for a while on their site. It is kind of addicting looking at all the options.
Here are Kenzie’s letters. Like I said, these are the letters that are meant to sit on a surface. They are free standing. There is a hang on the wall version.
I love how the birch plywood edges are kept raw. They are beautiful, and you can see the quality built into each one. I have no complaints about the look and the feel of the product. I’m impressed all the way around.
I thought I’d show their bedspread so you can see how I chose the red color in our blue room. The letters fit in nicely with the overall look and design of the room.
There is a gallery on the Colourful Letters website that shows a variety of options available. The picture above is my favorite because I fell in love with a alphabet letter wall when I visited a friend’s house in St. Louis before I even had kids. I thought it would be great to put together a wall with a variety of letters in design, colors and fonts. I never made it happen because of the thought of going out to shop for a variety of letters I liked. Colourful Letters makes it possible all in one place. It’s fun to browse their their gallery of ideas to explore possibilities.
Now, on to the giveaway. It’s a good one with 3 WINNERS. Each winner will receive a 75 EUR Gift Certificate for Colourful Letters and free shipping anywhere in the world. Good luck! There are many ways to enter, so don’t miss out on getting as many entries in as possible. Also important to mention, there is a Christmas discount period from November 1st till November 16th – 20% off with a discount code CHRISTMAS. Orders made by November 16th will arrive in time for Christmas. This discount code applies to product only and not shipping costs.
Great Product!
This is sooooo cool! I probably would think more about what these letters would say. I think Salvation or the cross would be it.
Our family name.
Ooh, I’d have to think about what is want the letters to say. Maybe ‘faith’ or ‘joy’ …
I think I might go with our family name, but I’m not sure. I get super excited about this kinda thing, so I’m sure I’d think about it for days before deciding. lol I love your girls’ letters!
