*Pencil
Materials Needed:
* An Old Magazine
* A Piece of Paper
* Scissors
* Glue Stick
My 2 1/2 year old is learning her letters. She knows most of them, but she has been struggling with a couple. She tends to call a “G” a “C,” so I decided to focus on that letter today with this simple activity. We looked through an old magazine for the letter G. I cut out any G the kids found. We looked for the letter in larger font and ignored the smaller print. Once we had a bunch of G’s cut out I drew a big outline of a G on a piece of paper lightly with pencil. Then the girls put glue over my outline. Next, they began to stick G’s down on the glue until we had our final product.
Cute idea . . . really drive the point home!
Thanks! It was so easy, and my daughter now knows a G…that’s for sure. 🙂
