Prior to doing the blog, I was still pursuing creative stuff, but I didn’t really focus on the pictures I was taking. Now that I have the blog I wish I had. I hope you can see the picture above well enough to be inspired in your own cupcake making. Most of the cupcakes above were inspired by Martha Stewart originals. I think it was 4 Halloweens ago I made these. Maybe even more. Cupcake decoration is so much fun. There are so many different things you can do.
Jodi, I love your blog, I’ve been blessed by many of your posts. But I think thar Halloween and christianity don’t match. I wouldn’t encourage my daughter to be a part of this commemoration.
Thank you, Ana, for writing me. First of all, your cupcakes are absolutely adorable. What a great site. I hear what you are saying in regards to Halloween. I have struggled with it and have been gradually doing less Halloween and more Harvest celebration in our lives. We go to a Harvest carnival where costumes are welcome, but we never do the evil side of things. I have eliminated Halloween decorations from our home. I did do the cookies you will see tomorrow and posted about the cupcakes from 4 years back. I guess there are still cute ideas the crafter/baker in me has a hard time letting go of. I was a kid who adored dressing up and always wanted to decorate everything to the max with every holiday. I wanted our house growing up to look like a haunted house, so it’s been a process for this decorator, designer and crafter to let go of. I completely see your perspective though and will consider it more as I move forward. Thank you for you thoughts, presented in a gracious way.
You are always welcome! The Harvest cekebration would be a very good idea to us here in Brazil, too. Thanks for following my blog.
