Abigail is learning about 3D shapes in school. I have talked about wanting to be the #1 educator in my kids’ lives. I don’t see my job as dropping them off at school or church and putting off all responsibility on those educators. Rather, I want to come along side the places where I send my kids and be able to supplement what they are learning. I can fill in the gaps, clarify or offer more information on a topic. It was fun when Abby came home and started talking about rectangular prisms and other types of 3 dimensional shapes. I decided to supplement by going on a drive and doing a 3D shape search in our community. The girls had a print out of the different shapes, and we went searching. This was an activity I paired with running our errands. I would pull the car over and take pictures. You could have them taking pictures of eliminate that element completely.
