Thankfulness
“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
We have now adopted “I Will” statements for our character development series. We made this cute board to highlight the focus phrases. I got the idea for “I Will” Statements from “Character First,” a character based curriculum. Although I haven’t used a lot of their content, I wanted to give them credit for this idea. Our four phrases this week are:
1. I will look at the good.
2. I will say “thank you.”
3. I will count my blessings.
4. I will be satisfied with what I have.
This main concept was used, with permission, from the Character First Education Curriculum.
Thank you so much for putting into words and actions what I have always thought of and tried to do with my children. This whole series has been done beautifully and thoroughly. Having this as a resource really helps me out with our homeschooling and having a more connected character development aspect to it.
