Today we decided to put risk taking into practice. We go to a park that has a big climbing rock. The girls have climbed about halfway up and then make their way back down. I decided that we’d do a little risk taking on this rock. As we were headed to the park, I told the girls the goal would be to climb the rock. There was no problem. Abby was a bit intimidated toward the top, but they both made it to the top and back down just fine. I am sure you can get creative and find a way to teach your kids to take healthy risk sin your own neck of the woods.
“Have I not commanded you, ‘Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
