Helpfulness
“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity to sin; but through love serve one another.” – Galatians 5:13
If you have been following along, you will recall the “Chore Ring” I we made a while back. It’s been working well. They like having a way to help and make money. I decided to add a bit to this in this helpfulness week. I added magnets to the back of each of the little wooden chore options. We then made a “Help Wanted” poster with some colorful paper and stickers. It was really easy and now hangs on the refrigerator. If there is a specific task that I really would like done, I can hang up the request on the “Help Wanted” section and the kids can make a choice. It’s a way to showcase your own needs and give them the opportunity to really be helpful around the house.
How do you use this with the Melissa & Doug chore chart? Just pull off things as you need them done and stick on the fridge? These must be different things than what is on your ring!
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I have a couple different things going on in our house. I want to have certain chores that are expected, which is when I use the Melissa and Doug Chart. Then, I have a separate group of chores that are extras and can be used for earning money, which is when I use the chore ring. I hope that’s helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Than what is on the Melissa and Doug chart, I mean.
