We have left our children for a week. Honestly, they don’t seem phased…neither are we. Oh, we love our children terribly. We also recognize the value of rest and building us. Social little beings, they just love the family that surrounds them at this time. We are blessed with amazing grandparents in their lives as well as aunts and uncles. So, this vacation for us is a win, win, win. I still want to make their visit extra special and be meaningful from afar. My sister actually did this last time she left her kids with me, so that’s where I stole the idea. She gave small gifts for every day on their time away. So, I headed to Michael’s and loaded up from, mostly, the dollar section. After coupons and discounts, I spent $20 so that the girls and their cousins could have a little touch of “Meaningful Mama” while we were away. Here’s what I included in the bags:
oh how fun! they must have loved a new treat every day! ;}

I hope they have. Thanks for commenting.
Such a great idea for keeping your little ones connected to you and feeling your love while you are away! 🙂 sweet

I was really impressed when I saw my sister do it. It meant a lot to her girls. I’m just glad I have good people to observe in my life.
