I was pretty excited to open the box when my package showed up at the door. When I  opened up the box and was not disappointed. My husband, who is not even one who wears a watch, is completely re-considering. He said, “This is a really cool watch. I kinda want one.” Oops – maybe I made the wrong choice with my dad. The JORD company was born out of a desire to create great design with a more “back to nature” approach. They wanted to take these time pieces and make them a point of distinction in everyday fashion. Their “wood watches are one of a kind, premium quality time pieces, hand-crafted with sustainable materials from all over the world.” My personal testimony about the quality is that this watch seems extremely well made with attention paid to the details of both packaging and watch design. It has the JORD watch logo  on a wooden medallion in the packaging, and the same engraving on the back of the watch. Both the clasp and the pin that turns the hands of the watch seem sturdy and well made. I have no reservations recommending this watch based on my initial impressions. Further, working with the company for this giveaway has been seamless, which I think it a great testimony to customer service.
