Personalized Baby Name Gift Idea

Do you love to give meaningful and personalized gifts? I want to share with you a gift we received from one of our friends. Like me, she recognizes the value of names and their meanings. There is a lot behind a name, and my husband and I were very intentional when it came to naming our children. This personalized baby name gift idea was inspired by the beautiful and amazing gift that was given to us. This gift not only gave us a way to display the meanings of our children’s names, but it provided life verses to back up that meaning. It is a great Christian baby or baby shower gift idea.

Personalized Baby Gift - Name Meaning and Scripture Sep 6, 2015, 12-25 PM

Here are the meanings of my children’s names and the scriptures chosen for them:

Abigail Faith: Father’s Joy, Father of of Exaltation: Faith, to Trust, Belief

“The LORD your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will quiet in His love. He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.” – Zephaniah 3:17

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1

Kenzie Durr: Light Skinned, Fair One; Joy, Rejoice

“The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” – 1 Samuel 16:7b

“The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. he will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” – Zephaniah 3:17

“My soul will rejoice in the LORD and delight in his salvation.” – Psalm 35:9

Corban John: Gift Concentrated to God; God is Gracious

“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him.” – Matthew 7:11

“Therefore, I urge you…to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.” – Romans 12:1a

“Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity.” – Joel 12:13b

Personalized Name and Scripture Baby Gift Sep 6, 2015, 12-21 PM

I love that my friend took the time to research my children’s names and put prayer and consideration into the verses that fit. If you are inspired to create your own name frames for your children or for a baby gift, you can create these in Word or an online design program like Canva or PicMonkey.

She added another sweet personal touch on the back of the frame by adding another verse – “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and favor is better than silver or gold.” – Proverbs 22:1

Christian Baby Gift Idea - Personalized name Meaning and Scripture Sep 6, 2015, 2-46 PM I have been keeping these frames on our bookshelf – see my bookshelf makeover here. However, we just went through a remodel and were able to get these name frames in a more prominent place – above their hooks for their coats and backpacks. I’m loving this daily reminder about who they are in the eyes of the Lord.

Thank you so much. It really was a blessing to receive. Her family also put a lot of thought into their names, so I’m sure that is part of what has motivated her to create these for others. 🙂
