My son just had his third birthday, and what better way to celebrate for a little boy than with superheroes? Today I get to bring you the superhero invitations – printable included. I like to create the printable for you with a full tutorial so that you are not just seeing what we did but can re-create any pieces you want to do for your own party.
That will be my goal with all of the party ideas I bring to you. I am excited to build up to the superhero extravaganza. We had a lot of fun celebrating my little man, and I am thrilled to bring you into the loop with all we have been up to in our home.
The first thing you need to do is to print out the printable. My fabulous husband is the one with the graphic skills. I was able to tell him what I envisioned in my mind. He was able to execute it. Trim off the white part, ideally with a paper cutter for a clean cut, and you have the image perfect for the front of your folded invitation.
This was the outside of the card. I cut the yellow piece of stock paper to 5.5″ x 7.5″ to accommodate the revealed edge, become a folding card and fit inside the envelope.
The interior was simple. We created it in a Word document, and you can do the same. The top font is a downloadable font called “Bangers.” The rest of the font is Abadi MT Condensed Extra Bold. We created a four part table with a height of 3.5″ and a width of 5″. Everything is centered. The funny thing about this invitation that we all got a good laugh at is that the date says August 23rd, and I didn’t catch it. I sent these out with that date even though the party was on November 23rd. I had a friend say, “I know you like to prepare ahead but…” Creative people sometimes loose track of the details.
We took a picture of Corban’s “super guy” costume we got from Costume Express and used for our creative superhero play. I took that picture, sized it to 3.5″ by 5″ and added it to the top inside of the card.
With invitations in the mail, it was time to move on to party preparations. Stay tuned for more of what we did to create a superhero party theme.
These are so cute!! Eh, who needs the right date any ways? 😉
LOL – That’s what I say. Everyone showed up, so I guess it all worked out. Thanks!
We used your awesome template to make our son’s birthday invites. Then gave it to Dairy Queen and asked them to make a cake similar to it. It turned out great. Thanks so much for sharing. I think I have attached the pic or the link to see the cake if interested. Thanks again!
Wow – What a great idea to take the invite to a cake place like Dairy Queen. I and no idea they’d make it so custom. They did a great job. I love to hear when people are using my resources. Thanks so much for letting me know.
Your printable has been disabled any chance u could send a copy to my email, it’s fabulous
Yes – So sorry. Dropbox disabled my links because of some issue on their end. Here’s the link, and I’ve fixed the post now too. Thanks for the heads up.
EDIT: I’ve made sure the link in the post is working. It is now a direct link from my site.
IM TRYING TO PRINT OUT YOUR INVITATIONS BUT I’M HAVING TROUBLE WITH DOING SO.
Here’s a direct link. Does that work better for you? https://meaningfulmama.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Superhero-Party-Invitation-Print-Layout-2.pdf
Is there any way that I could get a link for your superhero Invites. I can pay for a file if needed. Thanks, Allison
I’m so sorry. There was some compromise to Dropbox, and they apparently removed all my links. I’m needing to go back into my site and find all the posts that had links. Sorry for your troubles!!
EDIT: I’ve made sure the link in the post is working. It is now a direct link from my site.

Dropbox has been having major issues for me. This link should work or be fixed within the post. Let me know if you are still having issues:

Hi. I’m interested in the printable invitations, but the links still aren’t working.
Ugh – I’m so sorry. Try this one. If it doesn’t work, please contact me, and I’ll send it via email. EDIT: I’ve made sure the link in the post is working. It is now a direct link from my site.
I’m so sorry to ask I cant figure out how but could you possibly please send me this with just the two pictures at the bottom without the top pictures so I can just print it on card stock and cut it in half and have the folded card
Oh my! I never responded to this. I’m so sorry. Staying on top of comments tends to be a challenge for me, and I totally let you down. I assume it’s too late. If not, I still am not 100% sure what you are asking for here. I’d need a little clarification to be able to help. So sorry!
You rock! Thank you.
You are welcome. I’m so glad it’s helpful.
