It’s been a while since I have had babies (my baby is 5), but I still have many tips and tricks for when that new life enters your world. I remember those early years well.

My goal at Meaningful Mama is to both inspire and equip, and this idea will definitely provide you with an idea that I think you will love. This top parenting hack for baby’s crib is such a simple idea, but it really made life a lot easier in, what could be, frustrating moments.

The tip is especially helpful for those middle of the night interruptions that involve a blow-out, spit-up up or throw-up scenario.

Top Parenting Hack for Baby Crib Sheets

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Babies “R” Us. All opinions and ideas are my own.

I’m not a great middle-of-the-night mom. My first baby kept us up at all hours. I remember 2 hour shifts throughout the night. I’d wearily be bouncing and soothing to stop the crying. The moment the clock alerted me my shift was up, I’d go tap by husband, and he’d take over. It was a hard time, those early months. I was tired and feeding wasn’t as blissful as the images I had seen promised. In fact, it was really hard and caused a lot of tears and frustration.

I was realizing quickly that life was completely changed in that very moment this baby entered the world. There was delight in that, but there was mourning too. It was an interesting transition into a new world. Parenting hacks that could make this adjustment easier were embraced. I want to offer up an idea that really worked for us so that I can make these early months easier for you too.

So what’s this big top parenting hack for baby’s crib? It’s simple! Double stack the sheets. That’s right. I said it was easy, but you might be having an ah-ha moment right this second because you quickly made the connection to the inconvenient middle-of-the-night moments you have experienced.

I chose an organic waterproof crib pad cover. I registered for two of these. I also chose some cute crib sheets. Again, I registered for two. I would just stack them on the bed – mattress cover, sheet, mattress cover, sheet. Are you seeing it now?

What difference does it make? Every! The baby throws up in the middle of the night. Rip off the top two layers to throw into the wash and you have the clean layers underneath. No more making a crib mattress in the middle of the night. You are welcome.

I really hope this quick tip changes your middle of the night experiences. It also make life easier anytime you need to wash the sheets.

I also want to share a couple bonus cleaning tips for those middle-of- the night messes. The first recommendation I have is a to-go instant stain remover for baby foods, milk, diaper accidents and spit up stains. The product is called Dreft and can be found at Babies “R” Us. This is great product to throw in the diaper bag but also nice to have by the crib for smaller messes. The other cleaning tip is my own recipe that is perfect for those big vomit messes. This is the recipe I have for how to remove the vomit smell from ANYTHING. I hope these resources help.

If you are looking for more tips and tricks for baby’s first 100 days, I encourage you to follow the Baby Milestones Pinterest Page, which is a fabulous resource.

I also wanted to let you know about some great in-store Babies “R” Us offerings right now (March 2016):

$8 off Pampers Value Box (offer valid 3/1-3/31)
2 FOR $12 PAMPERS 3X WIPES REG 7.39 (offer valid 3/1-3/31)

Easter Happenings with Babies “R” Us

First Easter - Babies R Us

I remember that first Easter with my new baby. The joy surrounding the holiday was palpable. Easter celebrates new life, so having a newborn there just is another reminder of the beauty of existence. It was the first baby on my husband’s side of the family, so she was the center of attention. We all recall just staring at her. No one was talking. No one was doing anything except watching, laughing and ooing and ahhing. Finding the right dress and creating a great baby Easter basket were ways to make it special. Going to church together, gathering with extended family and being together to celebrate means more than anything.

Easter Clothes for Babies

With Easter right around the corner I need to let you know more offers being held at Babies “R” Us. I headed there to check things out, and above you’ll see some of the adorable outfits I’d be trying to decide between if I had a little baby to dress. To help you find a wonderful outfit for your child’s Easter they have:

25% off selected Koala Baby & Koala Kids clothing (offer valid 3/1-3/31)
ALL Koala Kids Easter themed clothing and accessories for girls and boys 0-18 months on sale (offer valid 3/1-3/31)

To celebrate the milestones of a baby’s first year, Babies“R”Us stores across the country are hosting a “Baby’s First Easter” event on March 19th at 11am-12pm. Bring your baby in a cute Easter outfit and enjoy activities, giveaways and photo-ops! Activities include story time, learning how to build the perfect Easter basket for your baby, some photo-prop fun and making your own Easter keepsake with baby to bring home. Enjoy your time meeting with other parents and their babies, and have the chance to win fun raffles throughout the event.

Twitter Party

Another opportunity is to join the Twitter party on March 15 at 2pm ET using the hashtag #BRUEaster. This will be a conversation about fun ways you can plan on celebrating Easter with our little ones!  There will be great prizes! Hope to see you there.

Babies “R” Us Giveaway

Lastly I have partnered with Babies “R” Us to bring you a fabulous giveaway as well. I will be giving away:

$50 Babies“R”Us gift card for the giveaway
