Have you begun to think about Halloween costumes yet? These 15 creative family costume ideas might inspire you as you are exploring options this season. We really get into dressing up for the Harvest party at our church. We haven’t even explored what we want to do this year, but these costume ideas are getting me inspired to start to figure it out.
This past year we decided to become superheroes as a family. Sorry for the lame first picture. It was dark and we had a volunteer working the camera. Hopefully the pictures below will give you a better idea of the costumes. This Halloween experience also inspired my son’s superhero party in November. The costumes also inspired our day of creative play and performance.
Our family has had a lot of fun creating costumes. This family pictured above are friends of ours from church, and we both really get into our costumes for the church Harvest party. I was super impressed by their interpretation of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and bowed to their brilliance last year. They definitely impressed with this creative and unique family costume idea. Hypothetically, if we were keeping points, they would have won hands down last year.
