Random Acts of Kindness Lunchbox Printable

Character development is a huge component of our parenting goals. We look down the road and say, “What character qualities do I want to see in my child when they are an adult?” Kindness is one of those qualities and is important to develop in the next generation, so I created this random acts of kindness lunchbox printable to be one tool for teaching kindness. For more kindness ideas, please visit my kindness character development tab.

I have seen a lot of lunchbox printables that build up your own child’s self esteem, which I think is fabulous. Children need to feel valued and loved. They need to realize their own worth. However, we also need to teach our kids that life isn’t all about them. We need to balance their self of worth with the sense of the worth of the other human beings walking this world with them. Therefore, this set of lunchbox printables is a little different in that it helps our children change the focus from themselves to giving them encouragement to do random acts of kindness that will make a positive impact in the lives around them.

I added my lunchbox printables to our HALF TIME™ pre-packed lunch kit. Finally, someone created a worry-free lunch kit that eliminates the compromise. This was my first exposure to Applegate HALF TIME™, and I’m pretty excited about it. First, all of my kids were enthusiastic about it and enjoyed their lunches, asking for more of these in the future. They also asked for more of my acts of kindness printables, which made me happy. I have never purchased a pre-packed lunch kit before, but I was happy to be exposed to one that has products that I already buy and trust for my kids. This has the dream team of brand awesomeness. Applegate, Stonyfield and Annie’s came together to bring a pre-packed lunch kit that has no artificial ingredients or preservatives and are antibiotic and hormone-free. I love the convenience of it being a grab and go product, but I don’t have to sacrifice quality for that convenience. These come in three varieties: turkey & cheese, ham & cheese, and bologna & cheese. These are all partnered with organic snacks from Annie’s and Stonyfield. Although this kit is great on its own, this is how I packed my child’s lunch:

Here are some interesting facts about pre-packaged lunches and Applegate HALF TIME™:

  • A survey conducted by Applegate found that 33% of parents would spend their time sleeping if they didn’t have to make their kids’ lunches in the morning.
  • The survey also found that 88% of parents thought pre-packed lunch kits were convenient, but 79% of those parents were concerned about the nitrates, preservatives and artificial ingredients in those kits. * I would be included in that population.
  • These prepackaged meals have a SRP of $4.99 and can be found nationwide at retails such as Target, BJ’s and Safeway. Here’s a link to a product locator.

Now that the kids have the nutrients they need to feed their insides, I want that energy to flow for the outside. Thinking of others before ourselves doesn’t necessarily come naturally. Let’s face it, we can be a selfish group. Kids need encouragement and training to think of others. This random acts of kindness lunchbox printable will help kids begin to look outward. Simply print and cut these out and tape them to your Applegate HALF TIME™ lunch box.

Some good news I have for you today is that I get to do a giveaway with this post. This may your first exposure to HALF TIME™ too, and you may be curious to try it out. I received the same kit that my winner will be receiving, which includes:

I write notes on a napkin for my kids just like my Mom did when I was a child. I love the acts of kindness cards!

I love it. I think kids get lifted up through your words. Way to pass down a wonderful family tradition. I am so glad you think my idea might be a fun twist to what you usually do.
