Abby is at the age where she can begin to learn time on a clock. This is a great way to make your own clock to practice this skill.
First, glue the two plates together.
I found these great foam letters and numbers at the Dollar Store. I drew a dot with a pencil where the girls were suppose to stick the numbers down. Then, we went to work finding the numbers and adhering them to the plate in the proper place.
The next step was to write out the minutes with a Sharpie. Finally, cut out the hands from foam (also found at the Dollar Store) and attach with a paper fastener.
what a great idea
Love this! Need to make to help my daughter, she knows lunch time is when both hands are on the 12, but the rest of the day she gets confused on which hand is which.
I’ve been teaching my Audrey how to tell time. This is such a good idea. Can’t wait to do it with her. Thanks for sharing at Mom’s Library!
I LOVE THIS! What a great idea to put the seconds on the outside to help them remember. I have to make this for my daughter. I would love for you to share this on our made for or by kids linky http://wemadethat.blogspot.com/2012/08/we-made-that-linky-1.html
