This collection of butterfly birthday party ideas should help you as you plan your own butterfly party. I have butterfly food, decorations and overall party ideas that should inspire. My daughter chose her theme, and I started to work on a design plan. We decided on a clean bright pink and white theme with greenery accents to bring a bit of the outside in.

Butterfly Party Decorations
One component of the design to bring in some greenery to give a garden feel. I did this by adding white butterflies to topiaries. The white butterflies I found at Party City. They come on wires, and I stuck those wires into the topiaries for a quick and easy transformation. Here is one set of 3 topiaries I found on Amazon, but I originally found mine at Marshall’s.
The table decorations consisted of a white table cloth (affiliate), and a pink paper tablecloth, which I kept folded and used as a table runner. That is an inexpensive party hack you could use for any party. Each table setting had a fake grass placemat (affiliate), square plates, white napkins, topiary name card holders, and bright pink champagne flutes. I also added a folded paper butterfly and butterfly antennas to each place setting – directions to make the paper butterflies found here.
Butterfly Party Favor Ideas
My butterfly party favors consisted of pink chocolate Sixlets in a butterfly box. Each child also received butterfly antennas and a butterfly mask.
Another component of the decorations were these great white on white butterfly lanterns. These hung over the table to add a whimsical but clean touch.
The food table also had a butterfly topiary, but it also had all of the food ideas found in the link in the next section. I also included my folded butterflies, homemade folded pinwheels and and a pink flag garland similar to this one.
Butterfly Food Ideas
I have a bunch of butterfly food ideas in another post. I hope you’ll click back and check out a variety of ideas found at my party and around the web.
My kids always love having a piñata at their birthday parties. Here’s a link to the one we used. Don’t forget the candy!
