My daughter’s sixth birthday theme was butterflies. We served butterfly themed food for the kids, and I thought it would be helpful to collect all the food ideas in one place. I thought I would add to the ideas we did too. Therefore, I created a round-up of butterfly food ideas so that you are well-equipped to throw your own butterfly party with ideas that work for and inspire you.

Layered Butterfly Jello by Meaningful Mama – One of my creations for our party were these pink and white layered butterfly jello cups. We did something similar for my son’s Superhero party. There’s a link to the recipe in that post, but I used watermelon flavored jello and added a bit of electric pink food coloring. I also added rice paper butterflies on the top. Yes, these are edible. I actually found mine on Etsy, but the ones on Amazon look great. I also put them in a mini cube taster cups and served with mini spoons.
Butterfly Crackers and Cheese by Meaningful Mama – The next butterfly snack idea was easy to make and easy to serve. You will need butterfly shaped Pepperidge crackers and cheddar cheese. You will also need a butterfly cookie cutter, like the one I found in this set. Simply slice cheese and cut it into butterfly shapes.
