Earlier this week you saw us do an activity about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Another Bible Hero that comes to mind when thinking about courage is David. We found a Berenstain Bear book about Courage at our church library, so we checked that out. We found this other book on Small Heroes of the Bible, and we were able to read that too.
We have done a David & Goliath craft/game before if you want to look back to see that idea. I found an idea at Danielle’s Place for today. You basically make a Goliath face, tape it 9 feet up on the wall and let the kids throw marshmallows to try and hit him in the forehead. The kids had so much fun with this activity. Of course, anything that involves eating marshmallows is a great idea in their mind.
