This is a really easy craft that really takes minutes.

Material List: Tall Box, Plastic Cup, White Glue, Card Stock and Sharpie. Take out the tacky glue seen in this picture and add in a hot glue gun. The tacky glue did not work, but a hot glue gun works…not shocking. I love a hot glue gun.

All you do is draw out the back board and then cut it. Put glue on the back board and attach it to the box.

Next, cut a hole in the bottom of the cup and attach it, with hot glue (parents should do this) to the box.

Now you are ready to play. We used a ping pong ball, and this worked out really well. You could probably play with any small ball, but I think the light weight nature of the ball helped keep the structure from breaking. Kenzie, especially, is drawn to more sports related activities like this, so she had tons of fun. They all enjoyed it though.

I’m putting together a free activity book for our Summer Reading club and would love to add this basketball game. I would love to use an image from your site. I would provide a link to this page with the directions on making the craft. Would this be acceptable to you?

Hello. I appreciate you asking. I only allow the use of one photo with a link back to my post. I do not give permission to re-write or copy and paste the instructions, although I’m not sure if you were saying were going to do that or just link back to my instructions. If you simply show a picture with a link and brief intro, that is fine. Thanks. 🙂
