One of our “I Will” statements is to trust in God’s faithfulness. The reason why we can trust Him is that He has proven His faithfulness. Faith hasn’t always come easy to me. I had to read a lot of apologetic books (basically the proofs of the claims of Christianity) to really come to my own faith. I now trust that God is faithful. I think a story that demonstrates this trait well is Daniel and the Lions’ Den. It is found in Daniel 6. We chose to read it in our “Jesus Storybook Bible.” If you don’t have this book, it’s a must buy. The story talks of Daniel who is thrown into the lions’ den for refusing to pray to the king and only praying to our Biblical God, Yahweh. Daniel demonstrates his faithfulness to God by not bowing to the king’s commands and continuing to worship what he knew as true. After being thrown in the lions’ den, God demonstrated His faithfulness by closing the lions’ mouths and keeping him safe. After reading this story, we were able to make this cute lion. I got the idea from the Paper Plate Pals we did. We took an orange paper plate and punched holes around the edge. Then we cut yarn and twine and tied it in the holes. I cut out a black paper for the nose. We drew on the mouth and the rest of the nose. Finally, we glued on the eyes.
Faithfulness
“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on a table of your heart.” – Proverbs 3:3

So Cute
Thanks! Your remodel is looking great. It must be crazy around your house. I can’t imagine remodeling right now…even though I dream about it.
Now following, I love your idea, and bringing art and Bible teaching together really reinforces what the kids are hearing. Awesome!
Tanya 🙂
Thank you so much. I’m so glad you are following along. I just popped over at your site and love your eye for design. Following you now too. My sister and I have been sitting her talking about design and watching design star, so I think it resonated even more.
I am a children’s church teacher this helped so much
I’m so glad it helped. Check out all of my Bible activities by hovering over the kids tab on desktop and choosing Bible activities. I love to be a resource for people!
