The first thing you do is get your little assistants to help you punch out the circles. It is so easy to do that, with a little assistance, the littlest one could help. All you need is a circle puncher. I found my one from “Recollections” at Michael’s. You saw us use this tool for our ice cream party invitations too.
All you do after that is stitch them together in random order right down the center.
Easy enough, right?
I also thought you might enjoy my crazy daughter posing with the streamer.
If you wish you could do a polka dot streamer but don’t have a sewing machine, I’d love you to check out Cheerios and Lattes for Mackenzie’s tutorial. I recommend it for two reasons. The first I have already mentioned, but I’d just love for you to check out her site. She does a great job in her blog world. Even though I didn’t get the idea from her, I think her version is great if you don’t have or don’t want to pull out the sewing machine. It also shows how to make them without the circle cutter.
Oh my goodness, these streamers are awesome! And the colors are so sweet 🙂 Love that you had a couple of little helpers too!
Thanks so much for stopping by Match Made on Hudson!

Thank you so much. I mostly always have little helpers ;-). I have actually found them to be more helpful as I’ve had them along for the ride.
Jodi,
You’re too sweet! Thanks for the mention! I am TOTALLY going to buy one of the circle cutters! Oh the time that would have saved my husband cutting circles out for me! HAHA! I have a feeling HE will go buy one for me as soon as I show him this! 🙂
Thanks Jodi!

You know you have a good husband when he’s crafting with you. My husband did the cowboy hat on my most recent cake. Good men we have – right?
Very cute idea…. I have done this technique on my sewing machine but not for banners. Cute!
Thanks! It’s so easy!
