Leadership
“Whoever wants to be first must be your slave – just as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a randsom for many.” – Matthew 20:27-28
Jesus taught a different kind of leadership than sometimes the world teaches. It is one of a servants heart. This is the kind of leadership we want to teach our kids. It’s the kind of leadership that can really speak to the world and stand out as different. Today, I simply had them ask how they could serve the other. I game them some ideas, and I was involved to. Here’s what everyone said:
Kenzie asked Abby if she could borrow Abby’s sunglasses.
I asked the girls to help me pick up the living room.
Abby ask Kenzie if she could pick out the television show if they watched one later.
The girls asked me to take them out to the lake and work on swimming with them.
We all focused on serving each other in these ways.
