One of my good friends and old roommates lives on the East Coast. She comes “home” (a couple hours away), and we always try to make it a priority to see one another. Today, her family came our direction. Since one of our “I Will” statements involves seeing the good in others, I thought it would be good to focus on that today. Before our friends arrived, I talked to the girls about the importance in finding the good in others and being willing to compliment the good they see. We decided to play a game where we tried to see how many nice things they could see in a person while they were here. I was going to keep track of how many nice things they could find about our guests throughout the day. I gave little reminders here and there to be looking for the good. It was a fun way to lift others up while also really focusing on all of the gifts, talents and good choices someone else was making.
