You’ll find in my tip of the day that I made our left over smoothies into Popsicles. Today, I asked the girls if they wanted one. They enthusiastically let me know they did. I let them know that I might be willing to give them a Popsicle, but they had to persuade me to do so. Abby informed me they were healthy. Kenzie let me know how much she loved me. Abby let me know they were hungry and needed a snack. I said all of those combined were pretty convincing and they’d receive their Popsicle. I also said I would be REALLY persuaded if I also heard they wouldn’t ask for food until dinner (something we are working on…amazing how long it has taken them to realize snack times are set), that they had been really good today and that they would continue to make efforts in being pleasant the rest of the day. They then enjoyed their treats.
Persuasiveness
“And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.” – 2 Timothy 2:24
