I love taking nature walks at the beginning of the season. Our summer lasted a bit longer than usual, and that was a big blessing. It’s finally feeling like fall. I have always loved fall. The flavors. The fashion. The festivities. I love hunkering down as we have the first chilly storm of the season. My husband sometimes suggests moving to someplace with more sun. I couldn’t stand to be in 70 degrees all the time. I love the seasons too much. Today’s activity was going on a nature walk. It was inspired by Kenzie’s AWANA homework assignment to collect leaves and write down things that we notice in God’s creation that represent the changing of the season. The things we found included: pine needles on the ground, fall leaves, broken branches, wind, rain puddles, cold, acorns, mud, pumpkins, pine cones, birds flying south and fall colors.
