Friendliness

Today we took time to read some books about being friendly and what it means to make and keep friends. We checked these books out at our church library. The books I found most helpful were:
“Cody’s New Friends” by Clare Mishica
“Being Rude” by Joy Berry
“Good Knight, Duke” (Veggie Tales) by Ronald Kidd
“The Problem with Pickles” by Barbara Davoll
“Suzy Swoof” by Michael Waite
The Little Book of Friendship by Zack bush and Laurie Friedman – This is a cute book that shows what it takes to make and keep a friend. It helps kids learn word to use to build into friendships. It also discusses what behaviors help make and keep friends. It talks about the importances of appreciating friends that are different than you and shows pictures of different races and those with disabilities. There are also examples of the kinds of activities you can do with friends.
