I have wanted the perfect pound cake recipe. I think I have found it. I watch the cake shows. I see how easily they can move around their cakes. I see how easily the cakes carve. I know they often use pound cake. My sister recently said she had her friend’s pound cake and it was amazing. She asked for the recipe because she knew I would want it. I’m glad her friend was willing to share. You will be glad too because this recipe is delicious. We all spent the evening going back for more of the carvings off the top. It was easy to make and easy to work with after that. Like I said – yummy. I know this has officially become a favorite go-to recipe for me.
Pound Cake Recipe4 Cups Soft and Silk Cake Flour3 Cups Sugar6 Eggs1 lb of Real Butter3/4 cup of Milk1 Tbsp spoon of flavor of your choice (I used vanilla)Mix all ingredients together until well combined. Put mix in greased & floured cake pan (See my Cake Making 101 to see how I do cake pans). The recipe made two 8×2 cake pans. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until toothpicks come out clean.
