The first step is to paint their feet brown. We let the girls do it, but I ended up helping in the end because we had to make sure there was wet paint fully covering the feet, and you need to work fast. My husband was there to help. I held the paper in place and guided her feet while he lifted her onto the paper. I probably could have figured it out on my own, but it was much easier to work as a team.
I helped guide their thumbs to create green thumb print eyes and a red thumb print nose. I did the final step of painting on the antlers, eye balls, and eye lashes with black paint.
Those came out so cute! These would make great Christmas cards too! I would love for you to share this on our Made by or for Kids Linky http://wemadethat.blogspot.com/2012/12/we-made-that-linky-15.html
I enjoyed your idea and hope to do it next Christmas. Looks like a of fun.
Thanks so much. I hope you do it. It’s a lot of fun!
Reread what you think you typed. I decided to do the deer’s right away. I’m going to use the children’s’ fingers for the antlers. You can use the sides and any part of a finger to make the antlers. I’ll take a photo as to how they turn out. Love using the thumb for eyes. Thank you
Thanks. I’d love to see your results!
