We have been sick around here. When I mean sick, I mean sick. I don’t think I’ve felt this under the weather my entire time of being a mother. I was in bed 90% of the day, and that was with my husband gone for the day. Abby made lunches for everyone. Kenzie was crashed out with me as her fever was between 102 and 103. Corban was sick prior to us, but he’s still under the weather. He keeps saying, “Mommy, hold me.” We have never watched so much TV in our lives. That said, I hope you’ll forgive me for bringing out a craft we did pre-blogging era. It’s forgiveness week, so you have to forgive me, right? We did this in 2009 when Abby was 2. It is a wreath made from toilet paper tubes.
Materials Needed:
toilet paper tubes
wire hanger
paint
ribbon
colored paper
pom poms
I used some more random, red embellishment – you could crumble up red tissue paper
scissors
hot glue
1. Bend a hanger to make the wire into a round circle.
2. Paint 10-15 tubes green. You’ll want to make horizontal cuts in the middle of each tube. These slits will then push onto the hanger. I put hot glue on them to keep them in place.
3. Cut out leaves and glue them between the tubes. Add your red embellishments.
