Kids learn through games. You’re going to hear me say it over and over. Making learning fun is essential. From math to reading to character development to obedience…kids learn through games. Here’s an easy and fun learning game I used to do when I tutored.
Muffin Tin Learning
Materials Needed:
* Muffin Tin
* Index Cards
* Pen
* Scissors
* Money
Cut the index cards into squares small enough to fit inside the muffin tin. Write a letter, word, math problem or whatever you are learning onto the cut index cards. Put one piece into each section of the muffin tin. The kids then scoot back and try and throw money into the tin. If a coin lands in the tin, they need to solve the problem. Kenzie is learning her letters and Abby is learning her words, so I had two muffin tins going during the game. If they say the correct letter or word, they get a point. You can continue play until someone earns a determined amount of points.
