This idea comes from my friend, Jackie. I am really wanting to give you ideas that are accessible, easy and things that you have the materials to do at home. I don’t want you to enter the blog and say, “Cool, Look what she can do. Good for Her.” Anyone can make this happen. Thank you, Jackie, for sending your idea my way. My kids loved it.
Materials Needed:
* Crayons
* Pencil Sharpener
* Wax Paper
* Iron
* Scissors
* Old Rag
Take crayons and shred them up with a pencil sharpener onto a piece of wax paper. Make any kind of color design or layout with the shredded crayons. Put another piece of wax paper on top, then cover with towel you don’t care about and lightly iron. I would put another rag underneath too as I found the crayons melted a bit onto the rag on top and bottom. This makes a melted colorful piece of stiff paper. Cut these into any shape your kids want. I encouraged the kids to look at it to see what shape it seemed to look like…kind of like you’d look for pictures in the clouds. I hung these on the window with double stick tape.
