Orderliness
“But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.” – 1 Corinthians 14:40
Another confession…I’m still tired. I would have not been motivated to clean out the car today if it weren’t for the accountability of this blog. I guess that’s part of what it’s about – pushing me to accomplish all of the “I should…” statements I ponder. If not for the blog, I would be sitting on the couch watching “Project Runway” instead of moving forward with some goals. I have wanted a system in place to help keep the car cleaner. Until recently, our car has actually stayed in pretty good shape. Recently, it’s been getting worse. Kids take things to the car and then leave them there. Garbage accumulates if we do snacks. So, it was time to focus our “orderliness” energy on the car. Here’s a couple before and after pictures:
There are a few things I’ve wanted to do to help keep things in order in the car. 1) Utilize the net baskets that are under their car seats. 2) Utilize the pockets in the back of the seats better. 3) Have a small garbage sack for the kids in the back of the car (I already have one in the front). 4) Have a carry in bag in one of the seat pockets if we have an armful of stuff to bring in from the car. Here’s me putting it all in place. I’ve introduced our new system to the kids as they helped me bring a load of stuff in from the car. Starting with a blank slate. Now to keep it so nice.
