I came up with this idea about a week ago as I saw my daughter gnawing at her tortilla creating holes all over it. We finally got around to making some tortilla snowflakes.
I buy fresh tortillas that need cooking before, so I let them use scissors to cut the designs. Just fold the tortilla in half, and then again and then again, so you have a little wedge. Then, cut or chew in a pattern. By the way, the fresh tortillas from Tortilla Land that are found in the refrigerator section of Costco are fabulous. I buy nothing else – 5 ingredients – all natural. Taste way better than the pre-cooked ones.
This is what one of ours looked like.
I melted a bit of butter on the griddle, cooked on both sides and then added cinnamon and sugar.
