My little Kenzie is turning three, and we’ve got her birthday party coming up. This week is leading up to it, so you’ll find a lot of the ideas and preparations this week. This is the rainbow birthday party invitation we just got out. I had done the save the date online, and I’m glad because the actual invites got out way too late. What has been cool about this Meaningful Mama experience is seeing all the ways that my kids can help with things I would normally do myself. The invites are basically pieces of paper stacked. Our envelopes would accommodate a 3.8″ x 9″ paper, so I tiered it 1.5″ each step of the way to create the effect. Abby (while the other kids were napping) helped me use double stick tape to attach the layers together. I also used double stick tape to attach the ribbon onto each tier. Abigail also helped with stamps and address labels.
Those cards are so cute
Thanks so much!
I love the way your kiddos help! I am learning that too since blogging, there are a lot of things they can help me with. 🙂 I hope the party is a success and a blast!! Very cute theme!
Thanks so much, Trina!
Adorable!! I really like this idea of the flip up invitation! I love how she is helping put them together too! Thanks for linking with Scout’s Sweet Sundays!
I had the vision and wasn’t quite sure it would work. I’m glad it did. Thanks so much!
I love this! We’re having a rainbow party for our daughter soon, I like this idea 🙂
