What is the true meaning of Christmas? God sent His son, Jesus, into the world to be the answer to Biblical prophecy written hundreds of years before Jesus’ birth. He would come into the world as the Messiah to take away the sins of the world by His death on the cross. This is a free gift for those who accept this truth by faith. It’s not by our actions that we are saved. It is by faith in this servant King, born in Bethlehem over 2000 years ago.

We can get lost in all of the gift buying, celebrations, food preparations, and decorations. There can be beauty in all of those things. However, when we strip it all away, we come back to a Savior who came in the form of a baby to save us from our sins. Wow! What a thing to celebrate.

This free Christmas printable for kids is meant to celebrate just that. It takes us back to the true Christmas story. It points to the original Christmas celebration of everyone from lowly shepherds to learned wise men recognizing this baby as the King of the world.

This would be a great activity to do alongside the story of Jesus’ birth found in Luke 2.
