My mother-in-law taught us how to make corner bookmarks. With school quickly approaching, I thought it would be fun to create a written & visua tutorial to help you replicate the idea. It’s a fun and easy paper craft for kids that will help inspire creativity and reading. If you are interested in bookmarks, you will also love these book buddies.

- Decorative Paper Edge Scissors
- Glue Stick
- Circle Paper Punch – Large
- Circle Paper Punch – Medium
- Decorative Paper Punch
How to Make Corner Bookmarks – Visual Tutorial
Chose a colored or plain piece of stock paper (heavier weight paper), and cut it to 4 inches square.
Fold the top two corners into toward the center where they should meet.
Cut a patterned piece of paper 2 5/8 inches square.
Cut this new square in half, diagonally, creating two triangles.
Glue the triangles you created to both the front and the back of your bookmark. One triangle will be gluing the two flaps down and together. The other will be a decorative piece on the main side of your bookmark.
Next cut a strip of decorative paper 1 2/8 inch by 4 inch.
On the front of the bookmark (the side without the triangular pouch), glue the strip of paper you just cut under the triangle, with a slight overlap.
With decorative scissors, trim the bottom edge of your bookmark.
Using your original decorative paper (the color you had made the two triangles out of), cut a strip 2 inches thick and then trim one horizontal edge with decorative scissors. Glue this piece overlapping the decorative piece of paper above it.
Using paper punches, punch out a 2 1/2 inch circle, a two inch circle and a decorative punch.
Glue the smaller circle centered inside the larger circle. In the center of it all, add your decorative paper punch.
