Owl Party Table Decorations
I have been gearing up to present the entire owl party to you. Today is another component of my daughter’s owl birthday, which celebrated her 5th year of life. Hopefully these owl party table decorations will inspire your own creativity in decorating. I also get to bring you a great giveaway with this post. Actually, let’s get to the giveaway right now.
Giveaway
The overall look I wanted to achieve in the party is mixing natural wooden elements with bright vivid colors. The juxtaposition of the natural vs. the artificial achieves a unique overall look, which I think is a lot of fun. One of the components I really wanted was wooden chargers. Years ago, I went to a Street of Dreams event, which gives people the opportunity to tour luxury houses with amazing designs. I saw wooden chargers as a place setting at one of the houses, and I have been wanting some ever since. I even did a tree and bird wedding cake where I found someone to cut me a huge slab of wood so I could use it as a cake stand. I baked it in the oven to try and kill off any bugs. My house stunk from trying to bake bugs off an old log, and I was still uncertain. I had to make sure the cake didn’t touch the wood at all. I wish I had found Roxy Heart Vintage Etsy Shop sooner! She has the rustic wood tree slice chargers (more reasonably priced than the one big-box store I found them in, by the way). She has the tree slab cake stands that come in a variety of sizes. She has pedestal wood cake stands. There is so much more at her shop that you just need to head over and browse around. As a collector of cake stands, my husband probably wouldn’t want to know I’m browsing this site. I think he has given me the “no more cake stands” look. Roxy Heart Vintage is the first place I’d look for a cake stand if I were to shop…don’t worry, Honey! She is really so much more than cake stands though, so head to her Etsy shop or look for products on the Roxy Heart Vintage website.
For Kenzie’s party I was given these beautiful rustic wood tree slice chargers. Aren’t they cool? You may have seen them also featured when I did my strawberry owls post. You could use them as a serving tray or as individual chargers. You can also get them engraved, which could be a really awesome gift idea.
For today’s giveaway I get to give one lucky reader a beautiful rustic wood chalkboard (stand not included). She has a variety of sizes on her site, but the one I’m giving away today is approximately 8″ x 14″. Keep it for yourself or give it as a gift. I love the design. Good luck in the giveaway. The first two entry options on the giveaway are mandatory.
Owl Party Table Decorations
Now you get to see how I created the rest of the owl party table decor. A lot of the ideas are simple and inexpensive.
The color scheme for the party was inspired by the owl party bags I received from Party City. We filled these gift bags with sunglasses, jump ropes, eye rings, bubbles and owl magnets.
One of my decorating tips for parties is to use wrapping paper. It’s a thrifty option and can be wrapped up and thrown away in the end. It easily adds a touch of design. I found this Caribbean blue polka-dot paper at Party City.
I also got the plastic plates from Party City too. The good thing about the plastic is that you can dispose of them, but I don’t. I washed them all so I could keep them for future parties. I picked out the kiwi green dinner plates and purple dessert plates. The kids had fun being my helpers.
The pink napkins we hand stamped with a little stamp I found in the dollar bins at Michael’s. Here’s an option on Amazon. Abby and Kenzie hand-stamped all of the napkins mostly on their own. Corban helped me cut the twine to tie around.
I love to do mason jars for drinks. It’s a fun look, and it really easy to change out the tops to fit any theme or color scheme. Buy them once and use them over and over. Click here to find out how easy this really is. I would say it is a 10 minute project. The straws I found at Michael’s, but you can also find them on Amazon.
All of the elements I showed you created our place setting. You will see little owl clothes pins clipped onto my straws in other pictures. This was another lucky Michael’s find. The dollar section suddenly had loads of owl stuff right before the party. Lucky me.
Another lucky find was these ceramic owls I found at the Dollar Tree. I couldn’t believe it. The colors matched perfectly and they were almost exactly what I imagined for my centerpiece. I found a set of 3 on Amazon that are a bit more than the $1 price tag I had. The cut logs were a neighborhood find. I was constantly listening and looking for people cutting down trees in our area. Kenzie actually spotted someone cutting trees and told me to stop the car. I had told her to keep her eyes open. Good find, Kenzie! The people cutting down their trees were so awesome. They cut whatever I wanted to size for me. Free is good. I then attached the owls to the wood with Liquid Nails. My husband let me know that this was overkill. guess a hot glue gun would have worked just fine.
I hope you have enjoyed the owl table decor. I also hope you’ll join my giveaway and give Roxy Heart Vintage some love. I given you some tools to create your own designs. A lot of what I have done can be adapted for any party theme.
That owl stamp is adorable!!
Thanks so much, Erica!
What an adorable theme for a party! It all came together so perfectly! I’m definitely going to try that wrapping paper idea. How genius!
Thanks for your sweet words. I’ve even been able to do it with Dollar Store paper in the past.
I can see how you fell in love with her website! I think my favorite is the slice chargers too! 🙂
Thanks so much. She has got great stuff, huh? Thanks for coming over and taking part!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the chargers!! I’ve had my eye on similar ones. With all the parties I do, they would be fun to have. The chalkboard is super cute too!
I’m loving the chargers too. Roxy Heart is a great resource for you. Thank you!

I really like the Rustic Birch Log Votive Tea Light Candles Set.
Love the chalkboard. Great owl ideas — especially the stamped napkins.
where can i order those ceramic owls the white green red i had all three two broke and only have the green one left and cant find them anywhere i brought them at deals but they didnt get them again. please can you find out and let me know if its a website send me link thanks
I got mine at the Dollar Store a while back, so I’m not sure. There are definitely ceramic owl options on Amazon, but you’d have to look through them to see if any of them match the look you want. If I were searching right now, I’d probably go to the home section of Marshalls, Ross, Dollar Store, Hobby Lobby, Michael’s or Joann Fabrics. Good luck in your search.
